Florida airport for sale

2008-05-05 00:00:00

The owner of a private airport in Tallahassee, Fla., has decided to sell the property and has set an asking price of $11.6 million. Tallahassee Commercial Airport has a paved 3,200-foot runway sited on a 200-acre parcel, and this is offered at $10 million.

An adjacent 63-acre parcel is also available from another owner for an additional $1.6 million. Included with the airport are two hangars (one 80 x 80 feet and the other 80 x 60 feet), a three-bedroom, two-bath residence/office and an above-ground fuel farm (using truck tankers, not permanently installed tanks).

Real estate agent Don Ford said that the runway could be extended to 4,000 feet, and seller financing of $5.8 million is available to help pay for development costs.
