Russia's NCC increases first half box volume 30.7pc

NATIONAL Container Company's (NCC) terminals in Russia, the First Container Terminal in St Petersburg and NUTEP in Novorossiysk on the Black Sea, between January and July 2010 handled 720,323 TEU, an increase of 30.7 per cent year on year.

The throughput of First Container Terminal from January-July was 645,544 TEU, up 30.6 per cent. In July FCT handled 91,472 TEU, up 24.5 per cent year on year.

Throughput of NUTEP in the first half of the year was 74,779 TEU, up 32.1 per cent. In July NUTEP handled 9,250 TEU, up 0.2 per cent.
