HONG KONG's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has announced the implementation of a US$250 per TEU rate increase on all cargo North East Asia (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Korea) to Australia from July 15.

OOCL said this was a phase of the company's "revenue recovery programme to ensure the continued provision of high quality services and sufficient capacity to cater for our customer requirements".

OOCL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong-listed Orient Overseas (International) Ltd (OOIL), and is one of the world's leading container shipping and logistics service providers, with more than 280 offices in 55 countries.
