Guangzhou port's quarterly container throughput up 29.7pc

SOUTH China's Guangzhou port posted an increase of 29.7 per cent in container throughput, also reporting a 16.4 per cent increase in overall cargo volume in the first quarter, reports Xinhua.

Both gains accounted for 23.5 per cent of the port's annual target volume. Moreover, its foreign trade grew 39.3 per cent in the same period.
