FedEx expands in Taiwan

2010-05-05 00:00:00

FedEx Express announced that it will add approximately 1,000 service points to its network in Taiwan through a commercial agency agreement with Chunghwa Post, Taiwan’s official postal service authority.

FedEx International Priority service will be made available in phases at more than 1,000 Chunghwa Post outlets, which will be established as FedEx Authorized Ship Centers, a development that is poised to benefit customers from more than 95 percent of postal delivery zones in Taiwan.

“This commercial alliance with Chunghwa Post enables FedEx to offer customers enhanced convenience and a broad portfolio of reliable, time-definite shipping options to small-and-medium enterprises,” said David Cunningham, president, Asia Pacific, FedEx Express.

“Chunghwa Post is committed to offering diversified and complete shipping services to customers, especially small and medium enterprises (SME). FedEx International Priority service is a premium international express shipping product that we will add to our portfolio. We have chosen to cooperate with FedEx based on their reputation for providing professional and reliable services, as well as their commitment to providing total solutions for SMEs,” said Fang-Lai Yu, chairperson of Chunghwa Post.
