Evergreen's blanket Europe-to-Asia hike of US$250 per box

TAIWAIN's Evergreen Line is to increase rates on eastbound trades from Europe and Mediterranean to Far East (including Japan, Australia) Indian subcontinent, Middle East (Red Sea and Gulf) US$250 per TEU, FEU and 40-foot high cube from May 1.

The rate restoration applies to all cargo and follows last month's increase. "To maintain reliable service, Evergreen Line has decided to implement the GRR [general rate increase] programme," said the notice to trade.
