Maersk introduce container repair charges to truckers

2010-04-12 00:00:00

DENMARK's Maersk Line is to levy an "out of service" charge (OOS) of US$150 per TEU and $350 per reefer container on truckers to cover repair costs when come back damaged, reported London's International Freighting Weekly.

"Damage to containers is a problem that affects all of us. When a container is returned to us damaged, it has to be repaired - which entails both direct and indirect repair costs," said Maersk.
