FreightScan hires new research chief

Cargo scanning firm FreightScan LLC said Thursday it has appointed Marek Sekowski as director of research and engineering.

A 17-year-veteran of the technical development field, Sekowski was a mechanical designer and product developer consultant to 3D scanning firm Basis Software Inc.

Based in Solana Beach, Calif. FreightScan designs, develops and markets cargo-scanning equipment that captures dimensional data providing for instantaneous calculation of cargo weight.
