CKYH Alliance resumes fifth Asia-Europe service

2010-03-29 00:00:00

THE CKYH Alliance will reactivate the fifth line in its Asia-North European (NE5) network in April.

The nine-ship loop will call at Busan, Gwangyang, Ningbo, Kaohsiung, Shanghai, Shenzhen-Yantian, Singapore, Algeciras, Le Havre. Hamburg, and Rotterdam. CKYH carriers, Hanjin, Cosco, Yang Ming, and "K" Line will expand vessel size and realign rotations on the consortium's other four Asia-North European services, significantly expanding capacity as a result.

Steve Wynn, a data researcher compare, said that the line operators would no longer skip voyages as they had done earlier.

The new NE1 rotation will be Shanghai, Ningbo, Guangzhou-Nansha, Hong Kong, Algeciras, Felixstowe, Hamburg, Rotterdam and Singapore.

The-nine-vessel-operated NE2 rotation meanwhile will remain largely unchanged, but for westbound calls at Shenzhen-Shekou and Singapore, the former of which replaces one of the stops in Shenzhen-Yantian.

NE3's revised rotation will soon include a stop in Antwerp, as well as new westbound calls in Hong Kong and Shenzhen-Yantian, while Singapore will no longer be part of the string.

Ports of call for the new NE4 line include Shanghai, Hong Kong, Qingdao, Ningbo, Singapore, Rotterdam, Port Said, Hamburg, and Antwerp.
