GERMANY's Hapag-Lloyd said it will increase rates from Canadian west coast to Pacific Latin American ports from Mexico to Chile.
The increase will be US$150 per TEU and $300 per FEU to and from British Columbia and Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Chile.
The following commodities are excluded: Agricultural products, including pulses, beans and lentils; paper and forest products, including lumber, woodpulp, kraft linerboard, sack paper and newsprint/directory paper, reports American Shipper.
