Fujian records trade value of US$79.7 billion in 2009

SOUTHEASTERN China's Fujian province registered a trade value of US$79.7 billion in 2009, the seventh largest in China, Logistics Week reported.

Export value was $53.3 billion and the sixth largest in China. Import value was $26.3 billion and the ninth largest in China.

Value of general trade cargo increased by 4.8 per cent to $45.8 billion, accounting for 57.5 per cent to the province's total. Exports under general trade valued $32.3 billion, up 1.8 per cent. Imports valued $13.6 billion, up 12.6 per cent.

Trade with ASEAN grew by 11 per cent to $9.4 million. Export rose 15.1 per cent to $6 billion. Import went 4.3 per cent up to $3.3 billion.
