NYK provides free shipping for Haiti

JAPANESE container giant NYK will provide emergency aid in free ocean transportation for quake-torn Haiti in coordination with Japan Platform (JPF), an international humanitarian assistance organisation.

Since 2004 the NYK Group has worked with JPF Joint Aid Supplies Transportation Projects on providing quick and effective emergency donations. The carrier is also taking donations from employees within the group of which it will add a "matching gift" to the collected amount.

NYK continues to take an active role in activities that support victims of the natural disasters and benefit society in the company's effort to remain a benevolent, sustainable, and socially responsible corporate citizen.
