"Rosmorport" company in December 2009 has filed suits against five stevedoring companies operating in the Big Port of St. Petersburg. According to the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region, lawsuits filed against major companies, including "Petersburg Oil Terminal JSC” (POT), "Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg JSC” "Baltic Bulker Terminal JSC ", "Fourth Stevedoring Company CJSC" and "First Stevedoring Company JSC” (both managed by "Sea Port of St. Petersburg"). One of cases to be reviewed on January 26, others - in March.
The Federal Unitary Enterprise "Rosmorport" owns public property at Russian seaports. According to the IAA "PortNews, the new long-term berths lease agreements at market prices significantly exceeding the previous years costs, between Rosmoport and St. Petersburg stevedoring companies were signed in 2009. Thus, now Rosmorport claims the private companies to compensate for the difference in prices, between earlier berths lease payments and the costs, calculated by current method.
