European Commission approve Klaipėda Outer port study

The European Commission has approved the Klaipėda Outer port construction feasibility study and Environmental impact assessment as eligible for partial financing from funds of TEN-T programme. It is estimated that the funding will amount to €500,000 (US$715,698).

The Klaipėda Seaport Authority submitted its application in May last year but it was on 7 December 2009 that the European Commission, together with TEN-T executive agency, adopted a decision to assign partial financing.
