UASC to levy US$200/TEU West Med-US hike from Feb 15

UNITED Arab Shipping Company (UASC) has announced a rate increase for shipments from the western Mediterranean region to the US east coast of US$200 per TEU and $300 per FEU starting February 15.

The carrier said in a statement that the general rate increase will apply to shipments originating in Italy, Marseilles (Fos), Spain and the Adriatic in the West Mediterranean region that are destined for the US east coast ports of New York, Norfolk and Savannah.
