MOL opens new ship management company in Manila

MITSUI OSK Lines (MOL) has announced that its joint venture company in the Philippines, Masaysay Mitsui OSK Marine Inc has reorganised its ship management division to establish a new, separate ship management company called MAGMOL Ship Management Inc that has already commenced operations from its base in Manila.

"Through Magsaysay Mitsui OSK Marine and MAGMOL Ship Management, MOL strives to further enhance know-how in marine technology and ensure safe operation, in line with the MOL group's corporate principles. The Philippines is the main seafarer supply nation for the world's merchant fleet," a statement issued by MOL said.

Filipino seafarer manning company Magsaysay Mitsui OSK Marine Inc was established in 1997 as a joint venture between MOL and Manila-based Magsaysay Maritime Corporation.
