Hactl's November up 18.8pc, but falls 11.6pc in first 11 months

HONG KONG Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl), the airport's big ground handler, has announced a year-on-year increase of 18.8 per cent increase in cargo throughput to 241,157 tonnes last month, but it also posted a fall of 11.6 per cent from January through November.

Export volume in November increased 18 per cent against last year to 139,994 tonnes. Aggregate export volume for the first 11 months was 1,106,250 tonnes, down 15.3 per cent year on year, said the Hactl statement.

Import volume for November showed a year-on-year growth of 29.1 per cent, with 60,530 tonnes registered. Aggregate import volume for the first 11 months was 559,328 tonnes, representing a decline of 6.8 per cent against the same period last year.

Transshipment volume for November and for the first 11 months was 40,633 tonnes and 425,551 tonnes respectively, representing 8.1 per cent increase and 7.4 per cent decline year-on-year for the respective periods.
