Samskip will improve its services to and from Portugal, and has appointed a new local agent in the country, according to eyefortransport.
Effective December 2nd, Marmedsa is representing Samskip in Portugal. The agent has worked with other parts of the Samskip group for several years.
Samskip is also working with an improved service schedule, offering a higher frequency and shorter transit times on services to and from Portugal.
According to Jens Holger Nielsen, CEO of Samskip Multimodal Container Logistics, service frequency to and from Portugal will be increased from one to two sailings per week.
The northbound transit time to Tilbury, Hull and Grangemouth will become shorter, enabling delivery the week after departure.
The new service offers an additional call at Southampton as well as improved southbound Login or register to post comments transit times based on the Saturday sailing from Rotterdam.
