Bilfinger Berger has further strengthened its position as an industrial services provider in Scandinavia. The Group will maintain production plants of AkzoNobel in Sweden and Alcoa in Norway on the basis of long-term contracts. The orders have a total volume of over €80 million.

Bilfinger Berger is now AkzoNobel's exclusive outsourcing partner in Sweden. At the company’s locations in Bohus, near Gothenburg as well as Sundsvall and Alby, both of which are located in central Sweden, the Group provides comprehensive maintenance concepts, ensuring operations at the chemical plants run smoothly. The maintenance contracts will run for a period of five years. In Norway, Bilfinger Berger will assume responsibility for the maintenance of Alcoa's aluminum production plant at Mosjoen, 700 kilometers north of Oslo, for an initial period of three years.

As a leading service partner to the European processing industry, Bilfinger Berger delivers a comprehensive range of services for the repair, maintenance and rehabilitation of production facilities. Since the acquisition of Norsk Hydro Group's repair and maintenance activities in Norway in 2008, Bilfinger Berger has occupied a leading position in industrial services in Scandinavia. The annual output volume in the region amounts to around half a billion euro.
