2009-12-01 00:00:00

Cargo turnover of Arkhangelsk port will decrease by 36.2% (to over 3 mln tons) in 2009. That was an estimation made by Nikolay Gurinov, Captain of the port, in the interview with PortNews IAA. As per him, volume of cargo transhipment is expected either to remain unchanged in 2010 or show an insignificant increase. Oil products transhipment volume will go down, but the volumes of other cargoes will increase. The predicted volume of cargo to be handled by the port in 2010 will amount to 3 mln 25 thousand tons, which is 0.8% more against the expected figure of 2009.
