NEPTUNE Orient Lines (NOL) subsidiary, APL, has deployed six 3,000-TEU class vessels to provide a weekly service its new PS5 transpacific route from Shenzhen's Chiwan Container Terminal (CCT).
This follows the launch of an APL service from the same facility earlier this year, the PS5 passage will include several stops in Shanghai, Fuzhou, Nansha, Kaohsiung before making for Long Beach and Oakland. The service calls at Shenzhen every Tuesday.
Launch of the new route was celebrated at the Chiwan terminal with the berthing of the 918-foot APL Australia.
