Wilhelmsen Ships Service signs full agency agreement with BGP Arabia Company Ltd

The world’s leading maritime service network Wilhelmsen Ships Service has taken over all agency and logistics work for six seismic exploration vessels belonging to BGP Arabia Company Ltd.
Wilhelmsen Ships Service has assumed responsibility for clearing vessels, equipment and spares in and out of port, customs clearance of equipment and spares for the vessels, and storage and distribution goods for the consignor. The company is also handling crew matters as requested, and is liaising closely with the captain, party chief and logistic coordinator to arrange orders and freight deliveries to and from the vessels in addition to all normal husbandry activities. 
Alex Lewis, General Manager for Saudi Arabia explained the importance of this contract. “This agreement covers a number of ports in the region, and includes Jeddah, Rabigh, Dhuba, Yanbu and Gizan. We estimate that this contract will be worth over USD 500,000 per year.” 
BGP Arabia Company Ltd is a Saudi – Chinese Joint Venture Company formed in association with Bureau of Geophysical Prospecting (BGP) - a subsidiary of “China National Petroleum Corporation” (CNPC), to provide a wide range of geophysical services such as seismic data acquisition, (2D, 3D - Land, marine & transition zones) processing, interpretation, and non-seismic activities in the Kingdom. 
Wilhelmsen Ships Service supplies Unitor marine products, technical services, ships agency services and maritime logistics.
