Port of Yantai August throughput sets new high

PORT of Yantai, in eastern China's Shandong province, broke its monthly throughput record by handling 12.4 million tonnes of cargoes in August, an increase of 16.9 per cent compared to the same month in the prior year.

From January to August, the port altogether handled 88.4 million tonnes of cargo, up 7.3 per cent, Logistics Week reported.
