Stranding is the most frequent traffic accident in the North-West Basin – RosTransNadzor

Stranding is the most frequent traffic accident in the North-West Basin, Federal Service for Transport Supervision (RosTransNadzor) informs. According to the statistics, stranding accounts for 80% of water traffic accidents in 2009.

All the accidents occurred in darkness with 60% of cases happening during masters’ watchkeeping,  RosPrirodNadzor underlines.
