Throughput of port Kavkaz up 10.6% to 4,235,86 mln t in Jan-July 09

In January-July 2009, port Kavkaz handled 4,235,86 million tonnes of cargo (+10.6%, year-on-year), PortNews IAA learnt from the port Administration.

In July 2009, port Kavkaz handled 715,840,000 tonnes (-15.2%, year-on-year).
The number of vessels, handled in the port during Jan-July, increased to 1,331.
Port Kavkaz is situated at the border of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov at Kerch Strait from the side of Russia. In 2008, the port handled 7.28 million tonnes of cargo.
