Chinese maglev train to run in Beijing before 2015

A new maglev train developed entirely by China will run on Beijing's first maglev rail, which is scheduled to be completed before 2015, the Beijing-based Legal Evening News reported today.

The maglev train will run at about 100 to 120 km per hour, and the city's maglev rail will go across its suburban districts, according to the report.
