First half-container throughput at China ports down 10.9pc

A CONTINUOUS decline in China's foreign trade, has brought container throughput of the country's ports down 10.9 per cent to 52.4 million TEU in the first half of year, Logistics Week reports.

Tonnage increased slightly by 0.5 per cent to 2.6 billion tonnes. Foreign trade cargo dropped 1.3 per cent to 950 million tonnes year on year.
