DHL Express targets clinical trial industry

DHL on Tuesday said it has launched a service aimed at the clinical medical trial industry, to support inbound and outbound transportation of time-sensitive medicines, clinical supplies and time-sensitive specimens,
  

DHL Medical Express provides dedicated transportation services and advanced tracking technologies.
  

“DHL Express already has a strong position in the clinical trials business within the life sciences industry, especially within emerging markets like Eastern Europe, Russia, South Africa and India,” the company said in a statement.
 

DHL Express said the new service would include “priority handling to confirm shipment delivery to a pre-12 p.m. promise,” and “proactive location tracking by the DHL Quality Control Center network to ensure ambient, chilled or frozen shipments are constantly monitored through to their delivery.”
