Employees in ports to get pay rise

Services sector trade union Verdi and the association of German seaports, Zentralverband der Deutschen Seehafenbetriebe, have concluded a new collective agreement. About 10,000 employees in ports will get a 1% pay rise in March 2010 and a one-off payment of EUR 550 (USD 764.71), Logistics Finland reported.
